Medieval shield. Made of beech plywood. Covered with canvas and edged with rawhide. The shield measures 70 cm x 35 cm. Suitable for HMB bits.

The painting was based on a drawing by Wendelin Boeheim, Handbuch der Waffenkunde (1890), p. 172,according to the publication: bible of st Martial Abbey (early 12th century).
