Lorica Hamata, 6 mm, riveted
Lorica Hamata was a typical ring armour of a Roman legionary and Celt.
Included is a shoulder doubling (collar) made of the same material, with leather trim, brass buttons and hooks. The leather is vegetable tanned. These armours are made with excellent craftsmanship.
This model is made from 18 gauge (approx. 1.2 mm) round wire, with individual rings having an inner diameter of 6 mm and are round riveted, ensuring strength and historically faithful workmanship.
The weapon measures 150 cm in circumference at the chest and 80 cm in length, corresponding to a medium to larger stature. Due to the dense interlocking of the rings, it provides good protection against slashing weapons, while maintaining high mobility and wearing comfort.
