This set is a replica of a 15th century Gothic belt fitting from France. Such sets typically included a buckle, end cap and sometimes decorative rivets and were an important part of everyday and ceremonial dress.
In the High Middle Ages, the belt was not only a practical accessory but also a decorative element that expressed social status. Especially among the upper classes, belts were decorated with embossed metal details, gilding, enamel or precious stones.
This replica is suitable for historical costume reenactments, living history, LARP or as a collector's item. It is suitable for 24 mm wide tapes .
