French Napoleonic Hussar sabre ANXI
New
This sabre was used by the hussar regiments of Napoleon's army - light cavalry on fast horses, specialized for reconnaissance and skirmishing. The slightly curved blade was designed for speed and is ideal for slashing blows, but is also strong enough for stabbing attacks. As with the originals, the spine of the blade is engraved with the inscription Mfture Impale du Klingenthal Octobre 1813 (short for "Manufacture Imperial"). The basket guard, pommel and spine are made of solid brass, as with the original models. The blade is fully sharpened at the factory.
