This Hungarian heavy cavalry sword bears motifs commemorating the unification of Transylvania with Hungary after the 1848 revolution against Habsburg Austria.

The blade is long and straight, with a spear-shaped tip and strong back, ideal for a full gallop stabbing attack - a style of combat that favoured direct attacks over lighter mounted tactics based on agility and slashing blows from horseback.

The replica of this sword has a blade of hardened EN9 high carbon steel, uncut but tempered for strength and flexibility. The hilt is made of brass, while the handle is covered in brown leather with scalloping and interwoven brass wire.
The scabbard is made of steel.
