Immerse yourself in the world of the Middle Ages with the sword "Wolf of Passov". This late medieval longsword impresses with its artistic workmanship and excellent price-quality ratio. It is an ideal gift for medieval lovers and sword collectors, as well as a great addition to a historical costume.
It was inspired by an original sword auctioned at the Czerny international auction house in Italy. It was named after the wolf engraved on the blade, the so-called Pass wolf. This symbol was the trademark of the swordsmen of Passau and is one of the oldest and most famous blade marks, whose origins date back to the 14th century. Passau blades were considered first-class and were exported all over Europe. The depiction of the wolf has changed over the centuries, allowing the blades to be dated. The engraving on this replica is based on the typical 14th century style.
The medieval sword has an approximately 91 cm long, double-edged blade that tapers evenly to the tip. The blade is not sharpened. A fuller runs approximately half the length of the blade and is decorated on both sides by the guard with an engraving of a Passavian wolf.
The blade consists of a wooden handle covered with red leather, a straight steel guard with diamond-shaped brass ends and a large disc pommel. The pommel is decorated on both sides with embedded brass crosses.
This two-handed sword comes with a red leather-covered wooden scabbard, with a brass pommel and mouthpiece, both decorated with fleur-de-lis motifs. The upper part of the scabbard is additionally embossed with a beautiful lily design, while the lower part has an interlaced ornament. The scabbard is complemented by a matching sword belt for easy and comfortable wear.
This medieval sword is intended as a collector's or decorative piece and, in addition to its quality as a display piece, it is also ideal as a prop, for example to complete a costume.
