This type of shoe comes from the Viking city of Hedeby, one of the most important trading centres in Scandinavia in the 9th-10th centuries.
The boots are characterised by their simple but purposeful cut and the antler button fastening.
The upper is made of high-quality triple-grain cowhide leather with a thickness of 2.5-3.5 mm, the insole is made of pressed 4 mm leather and the sole is complemented by a rubber sole with a heel counter to ensure comfort even when worn for long periods. The shoes are suitable for reenactors, history buffs and casual wear where honest craftsmanship and detailed workmanship are valued.
