The zincmetal coin combines two strong motifs of Czech history. One side bears the historical image of a 14th-century Bohemian lion, inspired by the depiction in the passional of Abbess Kunhuta from 1313-1321. The other side depicts Karlštejn Castle, which was founded in 1348 by Charles IV as a place for the crown jewels and important relics. The coin commemorates Gothic architecture and old heraldic motifs and was produced in the Czech Republic.
The diameter is 35 mm. The zinc alloy allows for precise detailing, which can be seen in the heraldic lion and the architectural lines of Karlštejn. The surface has a fine patina which enhances the relief.
It is suitable as a souvenir, gift or addition to a collection for anyone interested in Czech history. The relief is distinctive and easy to read, so the motifs are clear at first glance. The coin is pleasant to hold in the hand and its weight makes it look solid and honest.
It is a product of our own workshop and we are also able to create a custom coin for another tourist attraction.
