This Tudor rose keyring is made of metal and decorated with white, red and green enamel. It comes on a high quality keyring. The Tudor rose pendant is presented on a card with a Tudor motif.
The Tudor rose is a symbol that combines the red rose of the House of Lancaster and the white rose of the House of York. It was created after the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars, and became the emblem of a united Tudor dynasty. When Henry VII of the House of Lancaster married Elizabeth of York in 1486, their marriage symbolised the end of the conflict and the rose was created as the emblem of both houses.
The Tudor rose consists of a white rose with a red centre, thus combining the two originally competing symbols into one. It symbolises peace, unity and the strength of the new monarchy.
