Decorative handmade iron shield with the motif of the Bohemian Lion.
The heraldic representation of the Bohemian Lion appears on the coats of arms of Czech rulers from the 13th century, during the reign of Přemysl Otakar I.
The Bohemian Lion is also associated with the legend of Bruncvík. It was adopted as the emblem of the Bohemian lands by the Iron and Gold King Přemysl Otakar II and remains so to this day.
This handmade and painted shield comes from the workshop of a skilled Czech plater. The coat of arms of any family, country, house or association can be created to order.
