This pendant, shaped like Thor's hammer, is made of a lead-free tin alloy and comes on a chain. The pendant is attached to a fold-out information card, the front of which features an image of a Viking helmet. On the back, you’ll find information about Valhalla.
In Norse mythology, Valhalla is the majestic hall of fallen warriors, who live there blissfully under the rule of the god Odin. In this enormous palace with a roof made of shields, they feast on the flesh of a giant boar, which comes back to life every day only to be slain once more. The fallen warriors fight among themselves and drink an intoxicating brew flowing from a goat’s udder.
Half of those who fall in battle are led by the Valkyries to Valhalla to join Odin. The other half are chosen by the goddess Freyja for her plain, Fólkvangr.
The fallen warriors remain in Valhalla until Ragnarök, the twilight of the gods, when they surge out through the palace’s 540 gates to fight alongside Odin against the giants.
