The replica of the ducat of Wenceslas IV depicts the period of the late 14th century, when the Czech kingdom experienced difficult times after the reign of Charles IV. The younger Luxembourg, Wenceslas IV, was known for his love of art and luxury, and coins from his time were distinguished by their fine workmanship. This replica is made of shiny brass and faithfully replicates the look of the original gold ducats.
The brass ducat is suitable for collectors, history enthusiasts and reenactors who want to add authentic details to their equipment. It can serve as a gift or decoration evoking the atmosphere of the late Middle Ages. The surface shines like gold, but at the same time retains its handmade character.
The replica has a diameter of 25,5 mm and a thickness of 1 mm. On one side there is a Czech lion in a pearl frame, on the other side the Gothic letter W - the emblem of King Wenceslas IV. The brass surface is hand polished to bring out the fine engraved details and the embossed lettering.
