This beautiful medieval sword, decorated with the symbols and coats of arms of the Knights Templar, is not an exact replica of the historical original, but rather a tribute to the Templar Order.
The approximately 89 cm long, double-edged carbon steel blade has a flattened diamond cross-section and tapers evenly towards the tip. The blade is not sharpened and the blade is constructed as a full tang which is riveted to the pommel.
This two-handed sword has a wooden handle covered with black leather, which ensures a comfortable and firm grip. The guard and pommel are steel with a patinated (antique) finish. The straight guard is topped with stylized wolf heads and is decorated with a silver Templar cross on a red enamel base in the middle.
The octagonal head is a special feature. In the middle is a red enamelled Templar coat of arms with two knights on one horse. This motif is accompanied by the Latin inscription 'MILITUM XPISTI SIGILLUM', which means 'Seal of the Soldiers of Christ'.
The sword comes with a wooden scabbard covered with black leather. Two red leather straps with antique-style brass buckles not only aesthetically complete the look, but also allow for easy attachment to the sword belt.
This sword is intended primarily as a collector's or decorative item and, in addition to its value to collectors, is also great as a prop, for example to complete a costume. It is not intended for fencing.
