POMPEII - silver earrings with amethyst evoke the atmosphere of times long lost. The inspiration comes from the ancient world - specifically from Roman culture as we know it from the finds in Pompeii.
The base consists of a delicately decorated circular motif, reminiscent of ancient silver amulets. In the centre is set a smoothly polished amethyst in a cabochon cut, whose purple colour conveys depth and mystery. In ancient Rome, amethyst was considered a stone of protection, wisdom and sobriety - often worn by the learned and the clergy.
The earrings are made of pure sterling silver Ag 925/1000 and hung on a classic hook. Their structure and overall workmanship give the impression of a found piece of jewelry from the time of the emperors - old in spirit, but completely contemporary in message.
