A fairytale-like piece of jewellery featuring a beautiful Czech Moldavite, handcrafted in a Czech goldsmith's workshop.
A raw South Bohemian Moldavite set in a sterling silver pendant.
If you are looking for a piece of jewellery with a cosmic origin and a deep connection to the Czech landscape, Moldavite is an exceptional choice. It was formed around 15 million years ago when a massive meteorite struck what is now Bavaria (the Ries crater). The impact hurled molten rock high into the atmosphere, and some of it fell over South Bohemia, where Moldavites are still found today. They are considered among the world's finest tektites and are prized for their vivid green colour and naturally sculptured surface.
According to a South Bohemian tradition, a young man would present a Moldavite to his future bride as a symbol of love and fidelity. A popular legend also claims that Winston Churchill carried a Moldavite as a lucky charm.
Today, Moldavites are among the world's most sought-after gemstones for jewellery and are admired by collectors and gemstone enthusiasts across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Many people believe they possess cleansing and protective properties.
