- Templar sword for knighting
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam - these famous words are engraved on the blade that makes up this historical replica. The credo of the Knights Templar, translated as "Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory", accompanied their military campaigns for more than two centuries, sometimes celebrated, sometimes criticised. This magnificent ceremonial sword may have been used by the Grand Master when initiating dedicated members into the order. The master blacksmiths at Windlass Steelcraft spent dozens of hours hand forging the blade from high carbon steel to achieve the ideal balance, speed and durability. The guard features a detailed Templar coin with Latin inscriptions and symbols associated with the Order. The handle is hand wrapped with genuine red leather and wrapped with wire. The sword comes with a precision crafted wooden scabbard covered in durable nubuck and an adjustable belt with solid fittings.
