The authentic replica of the kidney dagger, also known as the phallic dagger, comes from Bohemia. We made a bronze copy of the top with armorial motifs. The dagger does not have a sharp blade (1.5 - 2 mm) to avoid cutting, the tip is sharp and can be peeled off. Nevertheless, the dagger is not used for training.

The medieval kidney or phallic dagger was a characteristic weapon of the late Middle Ages, used mainly in the 14th-15th centuries. It got its name from its typical handle shaped into a rounded "kidney" or phallic shape, which provided a firm grip while protecting the warrior's hand. The dagger served as a backup weapon for infantry and cavalry units and was popular among soldiers and townspeople. It was intended primarily for stabbing attacks through gaps in plate armour. It was often worn at the belt and completed the complete equipment of a medieval warrior or nobleman.
