Did you know that the craftspeople who manufacture jewellery (bijou) in Jablonec, (the Czech Republic) - the centre of high quality Bohemian glass production - are some of the most highly regarded artists in the field? Besides classic costume jewellery, Art Nouveau jewellery and enamelled necklaces and brooches, this is the capital of glass bead making. These are the beads that are sent in large shipments oversees and which the Native Americans of the New World coveted for their traditional beaded goods.
