KAZIMIR, one-handed sword, 15th century, Full Tang
One-handed medieval sword from our forge. Very good design and craftsmanship of the full-tang sword. The whole blade is made in one piece, through the pommel of the sword, where the blade is riveted. In this blunt design the sword is intended for stage fencing.
The material is spring steel CSN 14 260 (54SiCr6), which is ideal for sword making due to its high strength, flexibility and wear resistance. The silicon and chromium content increases flexibility and toughness, which prevents breakage. It also has the advantage of good heat treatment capability, which allows for optimum blade hardness.
Based on designs from the first half of the 15th century. Type XVIa (Oakeshott typology), head type I 1(octagon).

What is Full-Tang construction?
After several years of being developed and manufactured in our forge, top-quality medieval swords have heard the clamour of swordsmen for functional replicas, very durable for historical fencing. They have the Full-Tang construction that has proven itself the most. In these swords, the blade passes in one piece through the hilt to the pommel on whose surface it is unsheathed. This eliminates the need for brass welding and thermal interference. The blade therefore has very good properties along its entire length.
