Artistic replica of a Bohemian medieval coin. The coin has an image of the Bohemian royal crown and the name of the ruler on the obverse and a Bohemian lion on the reverse.
The Prague groschen was a silver coin that became very popular in Central Europe, especially because of its high silver content. It was minted in 1300 by Wenceslas II, the raw material being Ag ore from the Kuttenberg (Kutná Hora) orefield.
