The Joachim Thaler is one of the best-known coins in Czech history.

It was first minted in 1520 in Jáchymov by the Šlik family and became the model for the later “dollar”, whose name directly derives from it. The coin depicts St. Joachim with the family coat of arms and the Czech lion.

This replica faithfully reproduces the appearance of the original thaler from the reign of Louis II Jagiellon. The zinc coin with a dark patina can serve as a collector’s item, a reenactment accessory, or an educational tool. Every detail, from the inscription to the relief figure of the saint, matches the historical original.
