The replica of the Prague grosz from Ag 925 is based on one of the most famous coins of the Czech Middle Ages. The original grosz became famous thanks to its high silver content, which came from the mines in Kutná Hora under the patronage of Václav II. This motif still commemorates the period when the Czech lands belonged to the financial centres of the region.
The coin is suitable as a collector's item, a gift for history lovers or an addition to reenactor equipment. It looks authentic, yet retains its own character thanks to its higher weight and clean processing. It is suitable not only for display but also for a collection where it represents a symbol of stable value.
The casting is crafted with attention to detail and the overall appearance is that of a medieval original. The diameter of 2.7 cm ensures period proportion, the higher weight of around 13 g adds a sense of solidity. Hallmarks around the perimeter add to the look and security of the material. It is designed more as an investment coin.
These base metal coins were produced for Warhorse Studios for Gamescom 2025.
