The traditional Crécy-en-Ponthieu longbow is reminiscent of the bows used by medieval English archers. For their production we used ash wood, which we reinforced with transparent high-strength fiberglass supplied by a foreign manufacturer. This sandwich construction ensures excellent stability of the arms, high durability and most importantly excellent flexibility of the whole bow.
Depending on the tensioning force, the bow can be used by youngsters from 12 years of age up to experienced adult shooters.
The bowstring is made of dacron fibres. The bowstring must be waxed regularly!
